#6. Sha Phaley

Hey guys!! Today, I welcome you all to experience another tempting dish which is Sha Phaley . As the name suggest, this wonderful days indeed is a heaven on the taste buds. With several people having various demands, this dish has been given a great of variations which has made it even tastier than before. Due to repeated requests, this dish is for non vegetarians. Being a vegetarian, I did not try this one at home but attempted to gather all the required materials just for you guys. Sha Phaley , also known as Shapale  is a tibetan fried meat pie. Like momos, shaple are also widely loved by people especially the Tibetan community.😚 So, as always the required ingredients are: Dough Ingredients   8 cups all- purpose flour (no self rising flour, yeast or baking powder.) 3 cups of cold water. (Don't  use warm water. Water out of the tap is fine. Filling Ingredients 2 pounds ground beef (Try to use organic, grass fed beef) 2 cups chopped baby bol choy. You can also use cabbage 1/3 cup

Hello everyone!!πŸ™‹πŸ»‍♂️ Guys, here's another luscious dish lined up. This one's literally one of the most delectable of all. So, the name of the dish is Gundruk . It is a fermented leafy green vegetable. Though the name is a bit unnatural, the dish is totally obverse. It is also known to be one of the staple foods of Sikkim. Besides being so delicious, it is also very healthy and as is the fact, it is made in earthen pots traditionally since ages. You all will have to try this one and I am damn sure, you won't stop licking your fingersπŸ˜‹. Gundruk is a food of Nepalese origin. Properly made Gundruk is only found in villages that people make in their households. It is rich in roughage and helps in maintaining the metabolism of the body. This is one of the dish that has remained the same even after ages and seem to show little alteration. So, the required ingredients are: 1 handful gundruk 1/2 cup Soyabeans, black 1 medium size Onion  3 clove Garlic 1 Ginger, small 3 Tomatoe

Hello everyone.πŸ™‹πŸ™‹πŸ™‹ I am back with my blog and this time as hinted in my last blog, an interesting well known snack. Sorry for the delay guys as you all know November is the month of festivals and I was busy too in the celebrations. So you all know I was introducing you the recipe of a very much liked snack, momos or in sikkim language known as dumplings. Momos, who doesn't love momos? These are steamed buns with filling. It typically consists of two parts- the cover and the filling. The cover is made of dough of white flour and water. Sometimes yeast or baking soda is also added to the dough to enhance the texture of the momos. Originally these momos were made with ground meat fillings, but over the years a lot of modifications have been made that have made dumplings even better. #3. Kodo ko Roti

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay it's been long that I have not come up with mouth watering recipe. Frankly, I was busy in trying a delicious recipe and after so many failures I finally got it for you. So this time I have come up with a simple bread called  Kodo ko Roti . It is a typical pancake prepared from finger millet locally called Kodo which is served with different varieties of pickles but when I was trying it I found that it will taste more delicious with Tomato achar . Ingredients are: πŸ‘‡ 1/2 Cup Ragi Flour/ Finger millet flour 1 tsp sugar 1/2 or 1 cup Luke warm water Ghee for making Roti Method: - Mix finger millet flour- sugar with of lukewarm water and make a thick batter. Heat a Tava/frying pan, pour laddle full of batter in the centre and spread to make a round roti. Dot the edges with ghee, cook thoroughly on both sides over medium heat. Hey guys! I am pretty confident, you must be  waiting for my another blog moreover for a finger licking recipe. So I am back with my another blog but this time it's not a dish or a cuisine but rather it is a beverage. Every dish is incomplete without a beverage or a drink. So for you this time it is Chhaang  which is a traditional drink of sikkim. It is a Nepalese and Tibetan alcoholic beverage also popular in parts of the eastern Himalayas.
